Makes knife sharpening easy
I had struggled to use a regular whetstone to sharpen my own knives, but this kit has made me (at least feel like) a pro at sharpening knives. All my knives are now perfectly sharp thanks to this little kit. It also feels like I can sharpen knives much faster with this, even though there is some setup involved in getting the clamp set up.

If you know to to sharpen knife by hand this thing is just tidious and anoying as hell to use, the clamps sucks wouldn't hold your knife tight for many stripes, just useless...
develop your skills to sharpen your knife by hand, much fun and better results

Fantastic system for sharpening all different types of knives!
Lansky has been a major player in systems for knife sharpening and this one has been around for quite a long time for a good reason; it makes the whole process very simple and easy to approach. If you don't have multiple bench stones to sharpen your knives on and need a system that is easy to set up and tear down quickly without breaking the bank, then enter the Lansky Sharpening System. I dropped the "Deluxe 4-Stone" because this "system" is available in non-diamond stones and there is also ceramic and a leather strop available. Overall I appreciate how quickly I can put a knife in the clamps and get it sharp without guessing on the angle of the blade due to the sharpening guides in the system. I've recommended this system to multiple friends and family and quite a few people that use their EDC fixed blades and folders for actual work and so far no one has complained or given negative feedback. If you want a simple, elegant system, I'd start with this one and get the components that work for your work load.

Works great.
Would have been much happier if the 5-stone set wasn't marketed on Drop for the same price as I paid for the 4-stone...immediately after my 4-stone set was delivered.
Other than that, it works as expected and I'm very happy with the results on my knives.
