To people considering this drop:
I purchased This on the last drop. Since purchase I’ve used it abou15-20 times, and I am not at all impressed First, the build qual is obismal. Dreadfully rough pot metal and aluminum castings, and crusty tapped holes for the Thumb and machine screws. It’s almost impossible to get a good and consistent hold on the blade, as it really only takes knives with a flat heel. Second, the angle is almost always compound, as the blades are not a constant radio curve. It’s a chore to get a consistent edge angle, to say the least. Third the stones are poor quality. This one is perhaps Can be discribed in the words of a faithful old axiom: you get what you pay for.... well in this case I would say you don’t get what you pay for. I should also state that I very rarely write reviews as negative as this.
Best regards, Groobsnack

GroobsnackI completely agree with this review. I have similar complaints and honestly I just don't use this kit anymore. I've gone back to my old sharpening stones without fancy add-ons because this kit is a pain to set up and doesn't work well. I got it to lessen the time I spend sharpening, but it has had the opposite effect.

GroobsnackThanks for the review, I've read a few reviews about this already, and too many state this sharpening system is not what expected. I have the Smith's 3 in 1 knife sharpener and Smith's Tri-Hone Sharpening System, I wanted something different. This won't be it though.
