Do you have to pay sales tax on Massdrop products? Not order anything but thinking about the iron.

Unless you are in one of the states that doesn't have a sales tax, you will
crazy price, guess I don't need it that badly; tool or not
Has anyone used this to freshen up suits and other professional clothes? How does it do with wool, cotton, and synthetics like silky polyester? I don’t quilt but I do spend a lot on dry cleaning. My dryer has a stem fresh unction that does freshen but won’t get my clothes perfect. I’ve been looking at steam irons, and this one looks great, but the lack of valet stand for a jacket make me apprehensive this may be more for quilting than clothing.

Yup! We have one at home and use it every single week to freshen clothes. It works on all of our fabrics even cashmere, wool, and silk which are tough to iron or steam usually. I just hang my clothes on a hanger and wave this around over the fabric to freshen up, but we do occasionally bust out the ironing board too. The amount of money we've saved on dry cleaning bills is insane.
Why is it ok for someone to pay $5000 for a wrist watch but "crazy" for someone to spend $600 for a very specialized well made iron? I know nothing about irons so rely on people who do. I believe the posters indicating this is the very best iron out there know what their talking about. BOOM!!!!

Wait til you hear about fidget spinners!
I would totally carry thay thing around with me when oitnand about In town, maybe a special backpack lol
I have this iron. My quilting has done leaps and bounds since I got it. Seams are flatter, with the 3d soleplate fabric does not shift. So much easier to cut on grain now. It steams and dry instantly. I have had other brands that I have had to buy year after year. I have saved money in just the three years I have had it because I have not had to buy another. Light weight in the hand. Don't have to worry about distilled wster...just use tap. This brand is extremely popular in Europe, and just making it's way here. I believe it is swiss made.
This is an amazing deal. I bought one last year at $800 and couldn’t find one cheaper anywhere. It’s single-handedly the best purchase I made. In the past year, I’ve made my money back in dry-cleaning savings and we eventually gave away our $500 Rowenta which is junk compared to this. My wife, who is a quilter, also uses it constantly on her projects and even on our furniture that used to have a perpetual stench of pets. It’s cool because the steam is literally dry to the touch and doesn’t leave my suits damp- supposed to be professional grade
It’s the best iron you’ll ever buy. I have one and I LOVE it! It irons and steams fabrics to perfection. After you use one of these, you'll never want to use a regular iron again! If you iron a lot, sew, quilt, or craft regularly, it’s well worth the cost and this is a great deal.
I had no clue.....whoa!!!
So..... I don't get it. What makes this iron really worth that much money? April Fools.....right?
It's always so shocking to see home use model equipment be priced so much higher than industrial type stuff. I don't get such an exorbitant price. Even when it's on sale.
Insane. This iron would have to make dinner and take out the trash for me to buy it.
My husband would kill me. He thought my Oliso was outrageous even when I had 50% off coupon. This had better iron by itself or I'd be dead woman

People say stuff like that I think ooh what a lovely relationship you must have
I love this iron. The drop price is a good price. I purchased mine at that price in October at Quiltfest in Houston
