VollykinWould never find it new at that price. May have been the Leatherman Style which is similar design and layout but smaller, basically the keychain version of the Skeletool.

For those of you that know how clearancing works, items at homedepot that have been there too long (this includes extra stock from a sale like Black Friday) will have a percentage of their price marked off to encourage shoppers to buy. Homedepot's clearance intervals go about like this: 10% > 25% > 45% > %65; I say about because it varies by category. I happen to work at a smaller store and sometimes it takes a while for us to run out of sale items, leading to savings so insane that people won't buy them because they think they are mistakes. Some Homedepot shopping tips you should learn are: •Any Associate with a store-"phone" can check prices, check stock (of any store), and check locations for items. This is great because sometimes sale items are in stock at other locations in the store, or in other stores. •Most of our stock is REALLY old, so if it is clearance, there is a chance that is serverely outdated. However, it can get searously cheap. •Almost all Homedepot employees can haggle, seriously. They don't like to and sometimes the store manager dis-allows that sort-of thing, but the guys at the "Pro-desk" have that as their job, to try and convince to order big and order more. For instance, any purchase through our "Pro-Desk" is instantly 10% off if purchased on account.

VollykinThanks for explaining, figured if there was any truth to the $10 Skeletool then there must have been more to it than just a Christmas Sale. I'll sure be checking the clearance isles also. Heck, even without clearance, the sale price of $30 is still half you'll find anywhere else.
