I really hope to see more plugins on Massdrop. I would like to see the Pro Audio section improved, too. It's like they don't have a pro audio enthusiast working for them.
I hope that Massdrop doesn't assume that other plugins won't sell well, in the case that this doesn't sell well. For being the first plugin on Massdrop, it is rather unpopular, and that's the nice way of putting it. Of course, that doesn't speak to it's quality, to be clear. It's just that, for giving plugins a fair shake before closing the door on them, Massdrop should try selling something popular from a popular company.
This plugin is very interesting to me and I would buy from an unpopular company, of course, but I honestly don't believe that enough information has been given for what is going on "under the hood" in this plugin. Engineers and hobbyists- The ones who know what they are doing enough for it to be worth it to buy multiple plugins- are generally pretty curious people. They want to know what is going on under the hood. They want to know the signal flow or have some idea of it. In the Gearslutz announcement post, linked by Varholiaglimp (thanks for the URL), you can see potential customers asking and wondering what the plugin is doing, but they are answered with an assertion explaining what the entire machine does. This will not convince many engineers and hobbyists, with there being some products out there that do things they can do without spending a dime.

g0nz3rThat's a very good point, and something I worry about with some of these drops. MD can't see the difference between the product or price point being rejected (and the concept of people already having the product), and the category being rejected. I hope that they take that into account when assessing this.

Anyone knows if this will work on a VST host in Linux?

krepKrep, It should work on a VST host in Linux. To be sure, you can get a free trial from the Legendary Audio website. There is much more there as well-video tutorial, User Guide, Sound samples videos, etc. www.legendaryaudio.com

For a legendary plugin, its thread on Gearslutz seems oddly terse. The gist is that the plugin's machinations are a tad too vague for those thread participants. It works for them -- at least two posters really liked it -- but they're not sure how or why.
Haven't seen any reviews in the usual places so far (Future Music (Music Radar), SOS, Electronic Musician, etc.).
