I'm looking for a good first pen to start with. Is this a good one? If not how about pointer to one?

linuxhermitIf you're just testing the waters, a couple of good entry level pens that won't break the bank are the Lamy Safari and Pilot Metropolitan. I've found both to be good solid pens that can be had for around $15-$25.

linuxhermitI would Highly recommend the Lamy Safari or Al-star as a starter pen, neither is very expensive and they work really well. I've heard the Pilot Metropolitan is good as well, but honestly I didn't like mine much as the body is wide and posting the cap could make it not close correctly again.

linuxhermitIf you are looking for something really cheap, preppy platinum is a pretty good starter pen, can find it for a dollar or 2 and they write pretty well.
