While the Acer monitor you mentioned is a decent monitor it is not the same caliber monitor that this LG is.
There are many great reviews out there that rate this monitor extremely well. Reading many of them I found the review on Tom's Hardware very detailed about this specific model and putting it up against some tough competition. Check it out for yourself at the link below.
