Just finished setting it up. Love the location of power/menu button, it's subtle and easy to use; the OSD appears on the right side of the screen though which I thought was odd considering the monitor's size. There are multiple display presets and it comes set to "Custom" out of the box. The panel is gorgeous and my rMBP has no problem running it @ 2560x1440. The bezel is super thin and I love how my desktop comes almost right to the edge; the black border provides a clean canvas look. A little disappointed in the power option, I wasn't expecting a brick but since all my wires are hidden I suppose that doesn't matter. I also didn't bother testing the speakers since I won't be using them. There is a very small amount of leakage in the corners but it seems consistent all throughout so maybe that's normal for this display. It's nowhere near enough to change my mind and I have no dead or stuck pixels anyways.
For comparison my Dell U2412M looks better this but not by much. The whites look "cleaner" on the Dell if that makes any sense; maybe I just need calibrate the LG more. However overall for what the display offers, the price and the wait has been totally worth it. These are just my initial thoughts and I have still have yet to run a few games on it using my PC. It'll take some time adjusting to a 16:9 display again but the higher res makes up for it. A little.
Thanks again to MD for great communication and quick shipping. Love this site!

DasPikeBy running at 2560x1440, do you mean the option "Looks like 2560x1440" in the display settings, or actual 2560x1440?

sijmenschoonI'm going to say actual since there isn't an option "looks like..." And it's certainly scaled higher when toggling between lower resolutions (objects, menu items etc. are smaller). But I used the Option key to enable the higher resolutions if that's what you're asking..

DasPikeYou should use the DP if your card outputs it. My resolution is 3840 x 2160 which is recommended. To make it easier to read, I scaled up everything to 150%. It looks so good.

napster91I'm using DP on my rMBP but my PC via HDMI outputs the same, yes.

DasPikeI also have my rMBP connected to the monitor but I'm new to Apple and am using the HDMI output. Is there a cable I should be using to improve my video situation, or would it match the output I get from HDMI? I don't think I have a fullsize DP connector on the laptop but there are 2 of the lightning ports (along with the hdmi). Thanks in advance for helping!

DocTroubleI personally think DP looks better than HDMI output but everyone's eyes are different. Yes you can use either Thunderbolt port as it doubles as a mini DisplayPort. You can find adapters from Apple or elsewhere online. That's what I'm using now.
