Ok so I've joined the drop, I have a late 2013 iMac (not retina or 5k) and a PS4 I'm looking to hook them up to. Can anyone tell me if this wouldn't work, or if it will work but not as great as it should do. I'm new to the whole game, thank you any help appreciated!

EthanEdwards97It is not your best monitor to choose from but as long as both are hdmi or one is dp and one is hdmi your good to go

EthanEdwards97You should be fine with the iMac, you just have to get a mini-displayport to full-size displayport cable to hook it up to one of the thunderbolt ports. Your PS4 will also work just fine, but you won't be able to game at 4K because the PS4 simply can't handle that. You will still be able to game, but it won't look as good as say a good gaming PC running the thing at its native resolution.

ydxisthekingOn my iMac I'd be looking to edit photo and video on it, so i assume it would be excellent for that, hopefully the refresh rates and Hz will be good enough no? the 27 inch 4k monitor (27UD88-W) slightly newer model looks appetising too, I'm so conflicted!

EthanEdwards97Yes, the refresh rate is good, the only thing I will suggest with MacBook is that you would get a displayport to mini displayport for the best resolutions with MacBook

sijmenschoonThank you! I will look into getting one of those cables:) I usually have my PS4 hooked up to my 22inch Logic tv ( it's very mediocre) so a 4K monitor is an improvement, colour wise, size wise and maybe slightly smoother looking graphics becuase of the pixel density? I understand it won't be 4k images, because the ps4 doesn't output 4k, I hope I'm making sense! xD
