I'm still in, but c'mon. This is such a tease. I haven't withdrawn because it's still a good deal, but now i'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't arrive damaged. I really want this. *sigh*

tomkhuuRight? Like, the most recent email said: " The vendor is currently still working on re-routing the order to our warehouse. We will make sure to update the group as soon as we receive tracking for the bulk order. "
While they had previously said: " The bulk shipment of the LG Monitors is on the way to our warehouse and we are on track to have the remaining orders shipped out by mid-April. "
From this it becomes obvious to me that Massdrop knows about as much as we do. Their vendor really messed up and, at this point in time, there's nothing more Massdrop can do for us beyond what they've offered (That's realistic). In the future I hope they take more precautionary steps to insure that their vendors are actually capable to accommodate for the drop as to not compromise their estimated ship dates.

kalef21Yup, the back to back contradictory emails tell me that Massdrop has no idea what their vendor is doing. Massdrop wants to fulfill this drop as much as we want it fulfilled.
I've requested to remain in the drop but am also evaluating other monitors. If I find a solution that's comparable, I'll bolt. In the meantime, I'll continue to wait.
EDIT: Found three backup options, but the LG is still preferred. I'm in unless/until they cancel the drop. If that does occur, I'll choose between the three backups.

NeoRavenYour backup options would likely differ from mine, depending on what you want. So instead of giving my personal list off my personal criteria, here's the alternatives to this display that are worth your attention.
If what you want is 4k IPS with an ergonomic stand and enhanced connectivity, consider: • ViewSonic XG2700-4k - has FreeSync, basically a red/black alternative to the LG for about $550 • Dell P2715Q - lacks FreeSync and HDMI 2.0, USB-C, but has 4-port USB hub, $550
If you're willing to step down to 1440p, some good options include: • Acer BE270U/UA - a unicorn, the ONLY 1440p true IPS FreeSync display in the US that I'm aware of • Dell U2715H/U2717D - Lacks FreeSync, but is otherwise a better option than the above Acer for color accuracy. The U2715 is the 2015 model, and the U2717 is the 2017 replacement. The 2717 has a better out-of-box color calibration and slightly better real-world response times (less ghosting), but has higher measured input lag. Gamers would prefer the 2715, while visual quality nuts would prefer the 2717. But aside from that they're very close, so get whichever is cheaper at the time that you buy. • Dell S2718D - Lacks FreeSync but appears to be a true 1440p glossy IPS panel and this is my strongest consideration right now. I'ma fan of glossy but they are hard to find these days, so I'm likely going here.
Darkhorse candidates: • The ViewSonic XG2703-GS (G-Sync) and the Eizo Foris FS2735 (FreeSync) are the absolute best 1440p, AHVA (IPS-like) 144+hz adaptive sync displays on the planet. It's also the rare case where G-Sync is cheaper, as the ViewSonic is $700 in the US, and the Eizo is $1,300 in the US. I'm leaning towards the ViewSonic and a switch back to Nvidia.
So, I don't know where I'm going to go with this. There's no perfect display, but the LG in this drop is the closest to what I want (1440p or better, 27", ergonomic stand, USB ports, adaptive sync technology). All it lacks for perfection by my standards is a glossy coat, but I'm in the minority there.
We'll find out today what the latest status update is. If they finally have dates, I'll be happy. If it's more of the same (delay for vague reason, no real timetable), I'll finally bail and go with the Dell (glossy) or the ViewSonic (G-Sync). You may very reasonably have different backup plans based on your own criteria.

RSMassdropRight now? The best looking option in that segment is the LG 32UD99-W, which is essentially the same monitor from this drop, in 32" (31.5") form, with HDR (a poor implementation but you don't have to use it), and an "infinity edge" bezel. If I wanted a 32" display, this would be my first choice. It's up for pre-order right now, with initial shipments expected in late-April to mid-May (IE, probably about when we get this drop).

MedionActually LG 32UD89-W (same monitor minus HDR) also meets the needs... but they are not available until late May... :)

RSMassdropI'd be cautious about that. The UD99 supports 60W over USB-C, whereas the UD89 is 40W. This is a key distinction. If it's enough for your needs, however, go for it.
