RSMassdropDude, awesome job. I was about to post a timeline bu saw that you took care of it.
What sticks out to me was the implication that the order was essentially shipped. The earlier email stated that part of the shipment was enroute and they (Massdrop) planned to have them shipped to us by 4/15. Now today, NOTHING has been shipped and they have no plans for an actual update of substance.
I've sent my email in to remove myself from the drop. I'm going in a different direction. A sincere best of luck to those who remain in the drop.

RSMassdropI ordered the Dell S2718D. It's a new release. It gives me what I've wanted from a monitor for awhile now but couldn't find - 27", 1440p, IPS, glossy. It also has USB 3.0 (2x) and USB-C (45W), which is useful but not necessary for my needs. My only gripe (there's no perfect monitor) is that it has no height adjustment and cannot be mounted, but I can solve that by placing it on a height adjustable stand if necessary.
If it doesn't live up to my expectations for any reason, I'll send it back for the U2717D, which is matte, has the ergonomic stand, 4x USB ports, and comes factory calibrated.
I'll be happy with either, but had to try the 2718 first due to my love of glossy displays.

MedionYes S2718D is a good monitor. A lil short on ports but better looking and $699 without tax.

MedionThank you... Seems the USB-C is 45 W and cannot charge macbooks. How about Acer H277HU? Any thoughts.

RSMassdropNo opinion. I couldn't find any info on the power limit of its USB-C port.
Also, sending my Dell back. It wasn't real glossy. It was a glossy cover over a matte display which just makes it look dirty. A real disappointment. It was also my last hope at a real glossy display, so now I'm resigned to matte.
