I have this monitor already and quite happy with it. No issues so far, but ive only had it since August. I believe I have last years model as there is no A in my model number. It appears to have the same specs, design and price point. I bought it at retail.
It indeed has Freesync up to 75hz max (with a compatible AMD GPU) I run a RX480 8GB in my setup. Im a casual gamer, so this monitor suits me fine. I have been playing Doom on Ultra and its pretty smooth at 75hz. Ive never played it at 144hz so I dont know any better.
The screen splitting software allows for many options for viewing and utilizing the extra space, it works well enough and I use it often when browsing or working.
Really this monitor is for someone who: a. is on a budget (although the massdrop made ultrawide was a bangup deal for its size and specs, but still over $500) b. wants the ultrawide setup c. wants the freesync capability and has an AMD card
If youre hardcore into competitive gaming, and care about the FPS then get a 1ms zowie at 144hz for less.
