For all who don't realize what a great deal this is and think that 1440p is a better deal try looking up what a 1080ti can do right now at 1440p. It ain't close to 144hz. Till the GPU market catches up stick with 1080p for higher refresh rates. Unless you have 3 1080tis in your system. With all the problems that come with it. And poor performance to boot. But since you have been spoon fed acer and asus dribble may as well keep chomping down. My only grip is the timing is bad and I can't participate.

PerpetualVoidFirst, 1080ti is more than capable hitting 144hz @ 1440p in many games on the market. Second, GSYNC makes up for any issues 1080 ti might have reaching 144hz in the few titles it can't do so. Third, nothing will fix the picture graininess of the 1080p res on a huge screen like this, you gonna literally see each pixel staring you in the face, and that, my friend, is the huge fail of this drop, particularly at this price.

AnzialYou are right. It can hit 144hz on many games, but I would argue and point at youtube that it can't do it on many of the newest AAA games. Which is part of the point. Gsync can't make up for the issue more like it hides it. It hides it well, but again still hiding it. I still prefer a monitor that can hit 144hz all the time as opposed to part of the time. Give it two more generations and 1440p will be the new standard as well as having the GPU power to back it and hold 144hz all the time. Right now at this moment this is the best option out there to maintain 144hz and not half that hidden by gsync. Crysis 3 struggles to keep 90fps which is a demanding game and not that new. 90 still better than 60, but not good enough. If I'm dropping 1k on a monitor I would put the onus on me to back it with something that can push it all the time not just 62.5% of the monitor. Since a 1080ti is pretty close to the best green team available right now this is the best pairing. This or a 16:9 1080p monitor.

PerpetualVoidAnd you completely don't give a flying fuck about huge dot pitch on thus screen? I hope you enjoy minecraft because all games will look like it on this garbage of a monitor😙

ZettoIt really depends on each game and person, i can tell you that in racing sims like iracing, resolution matters little, yes you can see the pixels when you are not racing, but once you are, it goes away, the game is so fast moved that you dont notice it, and you do feel a smother game at 144hz than 60hz no matter the resolution. I do think this monitor is good as it is, the problem imo is the pricing, to me it should be $700 at the most for the gsync.

PerpetualVoidSo let me summarize you point of view. You want a constant 144hz and gsync is useless. Please explain why the heck do you want OTHERS to buy this particular monitor that you praise so high when another model of this monitor can what you describe WITHOUT gsync and for $400 less? You sound like an MD shill for a monitor they so far are not being able to sell.

AbulaDid you ever use a monitor with .3mm dot pitch? And I mean monitor, not a TV screen where you sit a long way away. Personally, anything above .25 looks like a wireframe to me, and no amount of action can help it. And yes, the price doesn't help this drop in any way.

AnzialI honestly couldn't care less if you buy this or not. I would for the reasons stated. Gsync isn't useless. Since Vsync is capped at 60fps if I want anti tearing then gsync or freesync are the answer. Hopefully I'm imparting knowledge to the young-in. Yes I have seen a .3 pitch. I've been in the PC crowd since 93ish. My point is that 34" 1440p is too much for probably 30% of the games out there right now. This particular monitor was unknown to me it's exactly what I was looking for and wish I could participate. I'm glad that LG realized the issues in the PC gaming world with 34" 1440p. Yes you can buy the other 34" that is 1440p and in 3 years get a GPU that will be able to push that 144hz all the time. My point is that they can't do it right now. So this is what they should have been releasing in the first place. If you want 1440p right now and at a good price since a 1080ti can only really chug along at 60 fps may as well go get the baseline pick a brand 34". They are all 60fps and essentially the same. Wanna push 144hz all the time at max settings in pretty much all games and have ultrawide. This is the best choice right now. That is my point. Not trying to sell you the monitor. I wouldn't buy it from them anyway. No dead pixel warranty. LG doesn't warrant it either. Nor any manufacturer. I did say I wish I could participate and basically have changed my mind about that. Dead pixels are bad man. Plus when spending 1k on a monitor, any monitor not just this one, what's another 70 really..... Buuuut since logic math and reason don't really seem to be getting through I'm just gonna leave this at what has been said and move on. It's on the interwebs now and someone will see sound advice. Unless MD mods delete this that is lol. GLHF out there.

PerpetualVoidEnough already with your 144hz. Nobody cares 😴because no one wants this monitor due to resolution, not the other specs your are touting while conveniently "forgetting" about the biggest issue with this screen, and that is the humongous dot pitch 😰

AnzialI have a Asus Strix 1080ti OC and an Acer 27" gsync 144hz, @1080p I have to sit up close [like 4 inches from screen] to see in between pixels. The monitor in question is likely no different. I wouldn't buy it because its $1000.00 for a 1080p. Way over priced... when my Acer XB270h was $399.99... the only diff's... 7 inches wider & IPS for $600.00

btennant1969Well, at least we agree on the price being an unacceptable for what this drop offers. As for the pixels, I was talking about jaggies, not the the space between the pixels, with pixels being so large, the jaggies are unbearable. I have a 32" 4k screen with pixel size 1/4 of this one and jaggies drive me crazy, I can't even imagine how bad it would look on this.

PerpetualVoidI honestly don't care about what you care about or not. I only made some observations about how your poor attempts to raise up the popularity of this drop sound like a shill for MD.

AnzialI like you troll I'll bite one last time. Popularity was never the goal. My point was that you in particular are against this product for the wrong reasons. I was just trying to get proper information out there for people who have a head on their shoulders. In case you didn't get that it was an offhanded insult like your comments about being a shill for MD. Good luck out there An don't know why you had to go and make it personal.

PerpetualVoidYou forgot to mention that he must use binoculars to look at his monitor. Either that or he purchased the worst 32" 4k display he could find. If this monitor was priced lower it would be one hell of a gaming monitor. LG is charging too much making it not a good deal.

PerpetualVoidIf I'm a troll, at least I'm a troll who's right about this drop being bad. Looks like no one was convinced by your "what a great deal this is" shill, there's still just one buyer of this screen with one hour to go till the end of the drop.
