DraggenI am assuming they are lost at sea. I have enough time to re-up my boating license, buy a boat and set sail to uncharted waters, join a pirate gang, board the freighter that my LG monitor is on, steal the monitor I bought, get caught and go to jail, do time while my monitor is auctioned off, steal back my monitor and sail back home and I would still be saving time.

DraggenIs this the normal experience from Massdrop? Order and and wait 2 months. At this point I don't even feel as if there was a deal obtained on my part. At $649 it was a good deal 2 months ago but now the reatail for this monitor is $699.99 from any basic search. This feels like a bait and switch type of deal. Mass order but wait until the retail price is such that the mass order is just barely a deal. So at this point I'm only saving about $50. Which is still a saving but I also have not recieve a monitor yet. Will we get them when retail prices have dropped to $599? This is what appears to be the game on here. I can hear the excuse about the stock on hand already. But if your really a reputable mass ordering site you would be in contact with the company and existing stock on hand other wise don't offer what you can't deliver. As mentioned this may be the normal experience here but if it is count me out. I'll pay an extra $50 to get it now instead of 3 months from now.

Krosan606This. I want an answer Massdrop. If you fail to provide users with an update as promised today on 2/28 with tracking information you will lose all of my trust, in which case after my orders are (laughter) "fulfilled" before 2029 I will close my account.
Finish our orders so I don't have to call someone about this websites credibility. ORDERED ON JANUARY 30TH STILL WAITING FEBRUARY 28TH.

Krosan606I would like an answer from massdrop but I am unable to find the 34CB88-P anywhere for this price period. It is $794.15 on Amazon and $799.99 on Newegg.
The only other model out there in the number range you are talking about is the 34UB88-P. That is a NON curved 60HZ version. The 34UB88-P is a regular consumer monitor with 1 year warranty.
You paid $649 for the 34CB88-P, a commercial curved 75hz monitor that comes with 3 year warranty from LG.
The consumer version of this (34UC88-B) is identical to this but only comes with 1 year warranty. It is $799.99 on Amazon and $759.99 at Walmart which is the cheapest I could come across.
I wish it hadn't taken so long but I expect the monitor will be here sometime next week. Waiting a month for saving nearly $150 is fine with me.

MrSnowmobilingI stand corrected. Thank you MrSnowmobilling. This makes me feel a little better. I double checked and I see what happened. When searching for the monitor it comes up as $699.99 but after clicking the link it does in fact go to the consumer grade monitor, that is in fact bait and switch but from NewEgg not Massdrop. I really do appreciate that correction Although I'm still not sure what the price will be when we finally get the monitor. But $150 is more pallitable than $50 savings for the time. What is the normal shipping time? If it's 6 to 8 weeks the monitor may very well be at the $700 range by then.

Krosan606Much appreciated, glad I could help.
With the monitors in their possession now I am assuming the monitors to be shipped out by the end of this week. They had over 100 people in this drop and I'm sure it's a logistical nightmare getting a bulk shipment, tearing it apart, then preparing individual shipments.
6-7 week delivery from the drop closing is probably what to expect.

Krosan606Ok I have an update. I have finally received my monitor. It is what I expected which is good. Also the price mentioned above is actually a bait and switch via Newegg not Massdrop. So in the end I still did save $150 to $200 on the monitor depending on where you buy. So Massdrop is still and even now the best deal you could get. The time to ship seamed excessive but that is probably based on how early you actually joined the drop. I joined early so it seamed to take forever. Now the only real question one would ask, is the business class monitor worth it. Because the standard personnel monitor is truly only $50 more which still is a savings. It should be because the component such as the LED and capacitors have a higher tolerance which make them last longer but one will never know until years later. That would fall under LG's reputation though. At this point I am satisfied. I just didn't like the expectations not being met at the time. Now no timeline was set to meet an expectation but you can only say coming soon so often before that is considered avoiding setting an expectation just to not meet an expectation. There is a fine line there and I believe that is my only gripe at this point. I had several emails stating update coming with no expectation set. After the third vague email that is where my expectations were exceeded. I still refer back to the fact Massdrop should know more about on hand stock from the vendor well before ordering a mass order and giving the excuse waiting on vendor shipment multiple times. Again over all am am a satisfied customer and will probably order again from Massdrop but I will warn people about the vague expectations.
Thank you.
