I'm not a serious FPS gamer, but I do have an R9 390 (with Freesync I think?). I imagine Freesync on the LG not worth the extra $100 or so, especially considering the loss of Thunderbolt. Would you up-to-date techies agree?
Edit: Per the description "...Freesync technology, it eliminates tearing and stuttering that occurs when the frame rate of the graphics card is different from the refresh rate of the monitor." Isn't it easy to manually set the refresh rate in software if needed? If so there is very little value in Freesync and the 34UM94-P is a much better deal, no?
Edit2: Sorry, per AMD's website, it appears Freesync is more sophisticated than just matching refresh rates. Still I don't think it has a whole lot of value for people like me who are not serious FPS gamers.
