Anyone know if LG has anything planned in the 144Hz range? The choice of just Acer right now is a shame when the guys that invented this format are stuck at 60Hz.

boombeefyou aren't going to get an UW monitor with 144hz anytime soon. Current displayport can't support that much bandwith. You'll have to wait for dp 1.4. There will probably be something in the next year or so, but it will cost more than 1kUSD

primitivetypeheh... actually, there are 144hz ultrawide monitors. They're 2560x1080p, so, to me, that's a downside, but is still a better trade off for someone who wants to push 144fps because at 3440x1440, it would be so difficult for gpus to push to 144hz, let alone what you said, waiting for something to support that much. But there ARE ultrawides @144hz.

boombeefDon't listen to the other guy below you, there are 144hz ultrawides, just 2560x1080, none at 3440x1440. I'd prefer 144@1080 because it'd allow me to consistently hit the 144fps without killing my gpu or having to go on low settings. 144hz@1440 are planned to come out later this year considering nvidia's new line of gpus support DP 1.4. http://www.techpowerup.com/219588/samsung-readies-144-hz-3440-x-1440-ultra-wide-monitors
