For Dual Input Setup (MBP and PC), is it possible for a single keyboard/mouse set up? That is, if I have a MBP and PC connected simultaneously, can a single keyboard and mouse navigate between the 2 machines? I quickly searched through the 34UC87M owners manual and it is not clear to me.)

EwokOhTwoYes, this is possible -- however it has nothing to do with your monitor setup. I have used this program before and it works somewhat well: http://synergy-project.org/
It connects the computers over internet and you can move and type using just one mouse and keyboard onto multiple computers. For example, I once had two completely separate computers on my desk, each with its own monitor right next to eachother. Only one of them had a mouse and keyboard attached, but I could still "move" the mouse onto the other computer and type on the other computer.

ChristopherPSome monitors, in-fact, act as a KVM switch. The LG 34UM95 for example does not require any special software as it enables you to share a mouse and keyboard between a mac and PC: http://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?p=26774389&sid=d0bb4b8ec89efb476a70c8764d9b1109#p26774389
If you want to use the picture by picture mode with a PC and mac you can also buy one of these: http://www.j5create.com/our-products/wormhole-switches/juc500.html
