it blows my mind that massdrop is considering this one of the "best of 2015" this supposedly "professional" grade monitor has such a significant light bleed issue in all four corners that even watching a dark movie is incredibly unnerving. i cannot recommend this monitor to anyone - even at it's lowest price. please do your research before purchasing this. i have had three of these, all returned for this issue and others have spoken up as well.

cbtlrcbtlr: If you researched all the IPS 34" curved Ultrawides, they all have the issue with BLB / IPS glow. It's inherent in this type of monitor, and some have it worse than others (not model # or brands, but the base IPS panel in general). I personally have this monitor, and have used it for 2 months now, and mine has barely any BLB. While it is present in all four corners, the worst corner for me extends about 1 inch from the edge of the monitor, and has a slight orange hue to it. I have to specifically look for it on an all black screen to notice it. Even while even watching tv shows with black bars on the side I have to search it out to notice it.
So while you may have had a bad experience yourself, recognize it's a know problem that varies between individual products. Based on your handful of comments, If you really needed a monitor for professional content editing you should have went with the VA panel ultrawide from samsung since VA panels do not have any BLB / IPS glow that is common with all IPS panel types.
Bottom Line: I would recommend this monitor (or one like it) to my friends who can afford it.
