Hey guys, there' only 9h left on the drop. I just wanted to know:
Is this is 34UM94-P as the listing says, or is it the 34um95-P as the picture says? And are they the exact same monitor?
Thanks.
realtensevenPretty sure they're the same monitor, though I believe some had a white back at some point (maybe the 95?) The 94 also has a longer warranty.
I have the 94, though not from this drop. It does have a white LG logo on the front bezel (re @Nore) and a silver backplate. I don't have any backlight bleed, but that's probably on a case-by-case basis. This was $499 on NewEgg a few months ago.
The monitor also serves as a KVM switch; I have a thunderbolt gigabit ethernet adapter plugged into the second port, as well as keyboards, a mouse and an audio out in their respective ports. Mac laptop on the first thunderbolt port (gets ethernet), gaming PC on the displayport & USB3 uplink, and everything works when the appropriate input is selected.
c__cI own the 34-UM95P. You are correct, my monitor has a silver-like plastic back housing. That's about the only difference between the 94 and 95 that I'm aware of, except the warranty.
My 34-UM95P only came with a 1-year warranty, if I remember.
I purchased my monitor shortly after it was released in 2014 (when I built my PC), and I paid full retail of $1000. I was actually lucky to find it for THAT price, as several places were overcharging and asking $1200 o.0
Pahanisame boat. i still love mine but semi-wish I'd have gotten the curved. if anyone's interested in buying mine (mint condition and only months old) hit me up :)
ReanimationXPAbsolutely agreed! The curved model would be the only additional feature I would wish for. The 21:9 widescreen experience is a revelation the first time you experience it, and it's one of those pieces of tech that you "just have to have from now on", because it hits a sweet spot. If I didn't have this monitor, my only other consideration would be a 40" 4K (another sweet spot).
There is one niggling problem with my LG, and that is that occasionally when scrolling up and down on webpages, the left and right halves of the monitor come out of sync by about a millimeter, and only for a fraction of a second. I'm fairly sure it has something to do with the screen splitting feature. And again, it only happens very briefly, and never in games.
xwboyholy crap didn't see all these replies. yes i'm still interested, won't be at exactly this price as mine's a bit better, but anyone still interested hit me up at reanimationxp @t gmail.
