I'm tired of hearing people talk about 120-144Hz panels.
Some of us dont care/notice the issues with 60Hz, just like you guys dont notice the disgusting colors of a TN panel.
Now anyway, this panel is tempting, but I think I want to wait it out and see how 4k monitors look in the coming months/year

PandaSPURI hear EIZO is releasing a 31" with real DCI 4K resolution, none of that 1920x1080x4 crap. Definitely worth to wait for it if you have more than a few thousand bucks lying around.

PandaSPURI think I've probably mentioned this a million times, but the ASUS ROG monitor has a full 8 bit TN panel and its colors are far better than most TN's. I originally got a 1440p PLS (and a 1920x1200 VA before it) over the TN gaming monitors of the time because of the color problems. This isn't like most TN monitors though: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/content/asus_rog_swift_pg278q.htm#colour
Granted I don't know how you don't see the blurring problems on monitors at all. They should be clearly obvious, just like this cheaper TN panel beside me has crap for colors.

StoleMyOwnCarDude, StoleMyCar. We get it, you want to marry the Asus ROG. Go marry it, be happy, it's inferior to these 34" IPS panels and it's hard to drive. Costs too much in vid cards to drive it near 120-144fps to see that smoothness. It's got Gsync, which is cool below 60hz if you have nvidia cards. It's not 21:9, so end of story. But just do everyone a favor and stop talking. Your posts are oozing with misinformatin and personal bias. I get it, you want to marry the ROG. Not even Jesus himself could convince you otherwise. Super duper. Go marry it

SupermoistThe only one oozing misinformation is you. You have absolutely no technical capacity at all. Either that or you're just a blatant troll. Or maybe both.
"Costs too much in vid cards to drive it near 120-144fps to see that smoothness. It's got Gsync, which is cool below 60hz if you have nvidia cards. "
You don't even know what G-Sync actually is (what was I expecting, you're ignorant as hell all around). That's become plenty apparent.
G-Sync doesn't just work below 60FPS. It works all across the board, all the way until 120FPS (well actually a bit further than that, it's just it gets a bit weird at 144Hz). Do you know what it does? No, you don't. Otherwise you wouldn't make this crap up every time. Stop being an ignorant troll and read this: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7582/nvidia-gsync-review http://www.blurbusters.com/gsync/preview/ In a nutshell, it locks your monitor to what your GPU is actually outputting. Thus it eliminates stuttering, it minimizes lag at low FPS, and has a multitude of benefits all across the board. So in other words to see smooth gameplay, YOU DON'T NEED TO DRIVE THE DISPLAY AT 144FPS! In fact it's better if you don't. The ideal range is between all the way between 30->120FPS. ANYWHERE. So you're sitting here talking about how it's a harder to drive display but that's actually very far from the truth. It's the opposite. The ROG ASUS is actually JUST AS HARD TO DRIVE AS YOU WANT IT TO BE. It's very flexible. And either way it has faster pixel response times, so no blurring.
Meanwhile YOU have a display (this LG) that is LOCKED IN AT 60FPS (with slow pixel response). With V-Sync on you will get stuttering all over the place. Not to mention, for all of your talk about being "hard to drive" your 34 inch display is harder to drive to 60FPS than a standard 1440p is at 80FPS. I've pointed this out multiple times but driving my 60FPS Qnix to capacity on games takes both of my cards in SLI. That means where it would take me BOTH CARDS to drive to 60FPS on my Qnix, it would take you something OVER 34% stronger to drive to that FPS with that setting. That's right, not even 780 Ti SLI would get you there. So tell me. How is that better easier to drive?
Yes, an IPS will have slightly better colors, but since this is a full 8 bit panel, it will be competent.
As for screen estate, I never argued with that. I'm just arguing with the rest of your stupid bogus claims. But I do want to note something. For 34% extra screen estate, you're paying twice as much. And for just a half-decent panel. Plus 21:9 is a bit iffy in terms of game support.
I keep throwing facts and numbers in your face, but you seem impervious to truth. Yes, you've got a fancy new monitor. That's great. Now stop spouting BS about it. It is what it is, a wider 1440p monitor. Nothing more, nothing less. It does not beat the ASUS ROG as a gaming monitor. It will definitely beat it in screen estate and maybe colors. Nowhere else. Stop spouting BS please.
I'm not saying the ASUS ROG is the end all monitor period. There never is, and never has, and never will be one. It's preference. But the criteria here is "superior gaming monitor". Which this is not. It's that simple.
