My intention is to use dual GTX 980s when they launch - as a disclaimer I do have two monitors coming so I'll be using them 1 for 1 so I don't have to deal with limited refresh rates and I'm pretty sure Thunderbolt ports don't exist on graphics cards yet so the daisy chain is not an option. Dunno if I want to during gaming have the cards SLi'd or not though, depends on how well it performs.

PapajDid you mean 880s? Because if not you've got quite a wait ahead of you...
Edit: Well, apparently I've been away from the intarwebz for too long. Seems weird that they'd jump to the 900s already, but hey.

thefivetheoryThe current generation of laptop gpus use the 800 series, so they decided to jump to 900 series to sync the desktop and laptop naming systems.

thefivetheoryYea, its the 200 --> 400 thing all over again, but between that and the probable jump to X99 platform around Xmas time, and I'll be set for the better part of a decade in regards to electronics go...pity it'll cost me another $3-4k by that point though
