I am so torn... is this going to be cheaper somewhere else on black friday? And what about the refresh rate, I assume its 60hz... freesync and 144hz would make this a no-brainer...

sMACkI'm torn too. I've been following this series of monitors for awhile. Best deal on the thunderbolt version was $699 (before shipping) on Black Friday last year. This version might not go down much further since its new.

Scooter928The only thing new about it is the black color on the back. Otherwise it's identical to the last year's 34um95/94. For this money, this year I'd try one of the korean 42" IPS 4Ks, 40% more real estate (well, unless having thunderbolt is critical)

ParlezYes, there is. The MD front picture is from marketing and not real, the real monitor won't be able to extend the image THAT close to the edges (particularly on the sides). Compare MD image to the one posted on LG site, and you'll see that there's definitely a bezel, albeit mostly a glass one. http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-34UM95C-P-ultrawide-led-monitor
