We loved them until burn in ruined the picture .... about 2 1/2 years and they are bad
The picture quality was great but they both only lasted about 2 1/2 years before they are bad. Burn in is a real issue with this tv. Easy install .... but we need new ones. The recyle fix only made the burn in worse! Expensive for a tv that only lasts a couple of years.
I bought this and have been using it constantly for over a year now. For me, this TV is great for everything, including gaming. I never once notice image retention that some people seems to fear. I will take LG OLED over any Samsung Q8FN or Q9FN series any day.
Unfortunately, due to the design of this model, it's very delicate. You cannot move the TV holding on the sides, as it is all glass. Moving this TV anywhere is going to be a nightmare. You also pay hundreds more for this design. I regret not getting a lower model with the same screen for lower price.
Also keep in mind, buying TV online is always a risk, so YMMV.
It's really sad that you pay $2600 for a TV and it arrives with a Cracked screen and all Massdrop has to say is it's past the 30 days after delivery. I explained to them that I was Deployed to Afghanistan by the time the TV arrived and was told with their generic email to contact FEDEX and LG customer service was a disaster too they offered to repair and I would have to pay for it. The Irony is I also bought extended warranty which is now useless due to a cracked screen. Guys just speak to Bestbuy and any recognized retailer with a phone number. LG also doesn't recognize Massdrop in any capacity.
The tv stopped working shortly after receiving ot. The screen just went black. I contacted massdrop immediately the omly way i saw possible which is thru email and it took them weeks before i got a non generic email response. By then i had already contacted LG and they said to contact massdrop for a refund otherwise all they could do is try to repair it if possible. So I emailed massdrop again and of course got that generic email response about how busy they are. Anyways i bought another tv so i can watch tv when i get home from work. Massdrop wants to get the tv repaired and i dont feel its fair to have paid $1700 .00 for a defective tv. I have disputed the charges withmy credit card. This isn’t the first item i purchased from massdrop that stopped working. I refuse to accept their ridiculous solution. I an not rich to pay that kind of money for a refurbished repaired tv. PLEASE. I will though if i have to, pay thousands in attorneys fees when i sue the hell out of them. Its a matter of principle to me. BEWARE OF MASSDROP!!!
disappointed1Same here I bought 3 OLED TVs from Massdrop and I am really disappointed with their response and no phone number to talk to anybody. Now I'm stuck with a Cracked Screen.
Love this tv. Amazingly thin compared to my 8 year old Sony tv that served me so well. The color and picture and fancy tech on this are out of this world! Extremely satisfied with this purchase. Received it a day early even! Took about an hour to put it together and set it up, and it just goes perfectly in my living room. The sound on it is extremely nice as well.
