Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the MSRP reported for this product is not $3299 but should be $2299. The former is the price for the 65” and is misleading.
Fedex delivery was awful, wasted a whole day waiting for them, at 4 pm Thursday, they rescheduled. Then on Saturday the doorbell didn't work and i missed them, they stated it would be delivered on Tuesday, on my way out to work Monday Morning the FeDex truck pulls up to deliver. I would have missed them again
It would have been less stressful to pick it up at the terminal or buy a cheaper model from a store.
Second the Costco comment. 3 yr warranty free. Had a $70 off coupon last week (not sure if that’s still available).
Also, if you have a discover card, use that before 12/31 for the 5% cash back bonus (includes Costco this quarter) - you’ll get 5% back on $1500 max = $75 off in cash back.
Have exactly the same unit at Costco for almost exactly the same price. Costco is also offering a free three year warranty with the purchase. I think this is a better deal, and you can pick it up locally.
whitew2I'm not sure if their in-store prices are any different, but I also thought this was the C8! That's the model I have, not this one.
I think that, online, retailers have realized that the panels are so similar they don't deserve the retail difference you see, but "normal" stores aren't going to get that, so I suppose that's a normal price for the E-series 55
The screen is fantastic. Super bright and the colors punch. Not worried about the burn it as I don't plan on letting an image stagnate on it. It's got a built in screen saver that pops on after about 5 min. I have absolutely zero regrets purchasing it, so far. It's stunning to say the least. DL the SD app and set it to alert you for this TV. Seems Beach Camera is the most aggressive with discounts on this unit. Iirc, the 65" was $2247 when they had that flash deal. GL!
I've played 600+ hours of monster hunter on my c7 with no issues. In fact, I've run it through ~5,000 hours of rpgs in the past year (I know, I'm as disgusted as you are, it's why I bought a piano!) and I've never even SEEN image retention.
Just make sure you play games in Game mode, and movies in Cinema...tweak the settings obviously, don't go stock....turn off all the sharpness and edge "enhncement" bullshit, but my point is, don't run it with Vivid mode and you'll be fine.
Also, I use my backlight at ~16-21......OUT OF ONE HUNDRED. This tv can get bright as FUCK, or it can be extremely faithul to a real image...the choice is yours, which is fantastic versatility
Abe's of Maine has it for $1596. Hard to tell if it is a scam as there are some review sites saying they are scammers and the Google review being pretty good.
