It's excellent. I paired it with a C7P 65" OLED in the living room. It's all I could ask for. I wouldn't use it for a "theater" setup... But for a room where you just need some good sounding speakers? It's an excellent choice. It sounds like an $800 device IMO.

Like the unit, and for the deal Massdrop organized I'm very happy with it.
Have mine connected to a 2017 LG OLED so I don't have any problems with ATMOS getting triggered over HDMI to the 'bar. Sound itself is good - you DON'T get a strong sense of any rear effects, which my ancient Yamaha YSP-1000 could manage. You do get a strong sense of a sound 'bubble' in front of you though, which in the space I'm using it in works well.
Be aware that you cannot connect rears to the setup and get channel separation, despite what some of the early reviews suggested. Doesn't seem to be any chance of LG releasing a firmware update that would address this, otherwise this 'bar would be a real bargain for a simple ATMOS solution.

When the sound works, it's fucking great. All our video/audio goes in via Xbox One X, which handles ATMOS like the soundbar.
Unfortunately, the audio seems to switch between ATMOS and other formats, often in the middle of dialogue, and the shifting back and forth is incredibly noticeable. Luckily it doesn't happen too often, but when it does it really pulls you out of the moment.
I'd love to get my hands on the wireless speakers that will work as reach channels for these, but they're discontinued, hard to find, and rather expensive for what they are.
