DO NOT BUY THIS BAR... It is terrible when there is a loud action scene and there is also any talking you cannot understand and actually you dont hear at all what they are saying.. And there is no way to adjust the center channel.. Trust me I wasted my time with this even ordered the wireless rear speakers .. I now have the Onkyo HT-S5800 fantastic and worth every penny..

JLGomezHey. Actually I have read into the problem you said and it’s actually fixable by changing sound Mode. the meridian optimize mode is actually ”Normal Mode” where the problem doesn’t exist. If movie mode is chosen that is when the problem appears.

JLGomezDolby Atmos mode only applies when watching Atmos content, the bar automatically detects it and does not allow you to change the mode. The widely known problem occurs when watching regular content in say “Movie Mode.” The work around is to watch normal content in “standard mode” and adjust some of the levels slightly as stated in some blogs. Other than that, I hear the sound bar actually sounds great. If they never would have included “Movie Mode” as an option, there wouldn’t have been any complaints. Just don’t use Movie Mode.

peetyrdOK.. Now I dont have to read a review I lived it and returned it.. I watch through my Xbox one X a 4k bluray in atmos called " Underworld Blood Wars" and during a very loud action packed part with a lot of sound effects one of the ladies is fighting a wolf and she screams out something and you cannot make out at all what she says.. AT ALL lips moving nothing coming out.. and I tried it now with my new Onkyo Atmos surround I can totally make out what shes saying... SO please I know exactly how crappy this sound bar is..

Ap717I have the TX-NR676 it has Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Dolby DTS X passthrough so I dont know what your talking bout willis.. They just fixed this month the issue this sound bar was having and I wasnt going to wait around for LG to make it correct I could not watch a movie.. It was worthless..

jlgomez2667I know this is 44 weeks too late but you originally said the Onkyo HT-S5800....which does not have hrd/dolby vision passthrough with the receiver it comes with. And again it depends on you. The lg sound bar saves alot of space for people don't have much. Having said that I never bought this sound bar lol.

Ap717I just saw ur post im late also.. But ur 100% correct I had forgotten that after buying the HT-S5800 I wanted DTS X so I sold just the receiver and got the TX-NR676.. But guess what I ended up selling the complete system and going back to the LG SK10Y after they fixed there center channel problem.. And now I moved that to my living room and I now have the new SL10YG with the rear surround installed in my bedroom.. Im a happy camper now..
