It is impossible to imagine how the length of a cable is NOT one of the first specs! FFS! List length of the cable. How hard is that? Offering one that is longer than 1.2m meters would be seriously appreciated.

UpComingTypical aliexpress chinese crap specs as usual. The reviews are all wrong on this one too most dont think its pure silver but actually everywhere its listed it says pure silver. The Digital Infallibility Computer Weenies wont be able to resist attacking this one. If this is really is Pure Silver this is a steal especially with the gold plating(if it is gold). Massdrop should measure their sample and post the length and cut a cross section and let us see inside then pay for some metallurgy tests to see whats really going on here.

iCeOL8TRAmnesiaI feel like buying this just so I could take it for examination under a microscope which would obviously reveal that it's not OCC nor silver or gold, and then sue their ass. I'm sick of these lairs. It's not AE here Massdrop shouldn't be a part of this scam.
LIBY555Just a clarification, OCC typically refers to Ohno Continous Cast and is a process for extruding the copper. OFC is oxygen free copper and typically comes with a "9" rating, 99.9% vs 99.999999% is 1N vs 6N

ElectronicVicesI know what OCC means, I can give you the complete biography on professor Ohno the inventor of OCC. To produce OCC wire, which is most cases will also be UP copper, you need:
  1. A factory that is capable of producing the wire in that method, which is rather complicated and involves very expensive machinery in order to mass-produce it.
  2. It needs to be certified and authorized by the patent holder.
There's maybe 2-3 factories worldwide who has the certification and the ability of mass producing OCC wires, I know that Wan Lung  are supplying most OCC on the market to most high-end cable makers, there's also Neotech who has great UPOCC copper and UPOCC silver, and maybe Cardas has it as well I'm not really sure but he's got great UP copper wires nonetheless. You can contact them and ask what would be the price for a 100m spool. As far as I know it's somewhere between 600~1300 bucks depends on the wire material. And don't forget that it's a single core, so for a 1 meter cable you need 4 meter of wire at least for a balanced 4 core wire. so from a 100m spool in practice you only have 25m cable. Now add the connectors, braiding work, labor, and you can understand why these real UPOCC wires cost hundreds of dollar as a finished product. 95% of these so called "OCC" cables on AE, eBay, and apparently here too are FAKE. That's why I ALWAYS recommend to check what is under the hood, and by that I mean to know who's the wire's actual producer.

LIBY555Wasn't trying to insinuate you didn't know, was more a clarification for the masses.
