Little Dot MKII Tube Headphone Amp

I purchased a LD MKII a little over a year ago from MD, and this week unfortunately I had to return it as the amp started cutting in and out of both channels. For a couple of weeks prior to that I was getting quite a bit of distortion after the amp has been of for a few hours. Switching tubes did not improve the issues: I tried it both with the JAN5654 which came with it and the original Chinese power tubes, and with Russian Voskhod 6J1P-EV and Gold grid 6N6P-i tubes. I do have to say that the Russian tubes did GREATLY improve the sound, and I would have preferred to keep the LD MKII/Russian Tube combination had it still worked. Kudos to MD for good returning policy and service.
Now I have the two pairs of tubes which I can pass on to someone who may want to use: I got them in mid April, and on average they were used around 5 hours a day 5 days a week, so in a total it should be be about 700 or so hours of use. I bought them on the auction website:
2x Voshkod 6ZH1P-EV (6J1P-EV) Matched Pair Little Dot Amp III IV from sezam2016-17
and
6N6P-i MATCHED PAIR 80's GOLD GRID TUBES / ECC99 E182CC 6Н6П-и from orpheus_2005
for a total of $44. I can part with them for $25 including shipment within US.
I really like the pairing of these tubes LD MKII with planar Mr. Speakers Alpha Dogs and Aeons, with a pretty balanced but full sound.

romankoNot sure if there's a PM feature on here but I was looking at buying the same Voshkod 6ZH1P-EV. I'm willing to set a trade. I figure the LD would make for a nice office amp but It hasn't arrived yet. Looking forward to trying it out and rolling some tubes.

FearDaTusk@FearDaTusk e-mail me at kosoyroman@yahoo.com. 6ZH1P-EV tubes were very nice: they did clean up the sound considerable comparing to JAN5654, and also made it more neutral. In the beginning, when I swapped the 6ZH1P-EV and 6N6P-i for the JAN5654 /chinese power tubes I was not sure if I liked it as the sound became a little more "thin sounding" but it was because the bass became less bloated. Details and stage improved significantly. I cannot disentangle the effect of 6ZH1P-EV and 6N6P-i as I introduced them at the same time and did not bother with trying them separately.

Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?
I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones. Looking for a gaming/content audio setup
Hello! I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

$10 Drop Coupon Email not sent?

Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.
