I used to own the MKVI+ a few years back. It's a decent amp, but for the money you'd be better off with a Schiit Mjolnir 2. If you have any issues with the LD then you're either repairing it yourself or shipping it back to China. Changing the output gain is done by dip switches inside the amp. So letting the tubes cool, removing them, unplugging cables, removing the bottom panel, etc. gets old really quick if you have different headphones. FWIW, YMMV and all that.

MarcSpenceI knew I had this picture somewhere... There's also two fans underneath the unit. The stock fans were the cheapest and loudest units on planet Earth. The plastic feet were terrible as well. Below is after I upgraded the fans to high dollar Noctuas and found some machined aluminum/rubber feet on eBay.

R56SMyself own MK8se more year, had real bad experience, my advice for all the consumer or members stay away from these amp unless u have knowledge about electronic as it will smoke anytime, I fully agree with R56S comment, U need to fix it yourself or send back to China with your own shipping expenses. This amp from my experience is really sound good, has a lot of potential so can be modded depend on what you after and can get more details from head-fi forum https://www.head-fi.org/threads/little-dot-mk8se-mk6-super-mods-all-verified-mods-are-on-first-page.782183/ Although the amp provide fully balance greater sound quality than many other high end amp include WA22 and Shiit Mjolnir 2, outlook seen fully metal nice strong build, schematic amp design is not modern way but still acceptable, unfortunately, the LD company wants to save cost for better profit so has to put most of the cheap shit circuit component include the main PCB board inside this amp, that's why the amp can get burn and smoke easily at anytime, then u have to waste lot of time and money to fix it, further more it will happen again on any other component parts even after fix it. The look is nice but fragile internal build so my advise is unless u are familiar with electronic knowledge, otherwise save your hard earn money to get other amp like LF339 or Shiit audio
