Could you provide information on what kind of leather these are made of? Also, I am not sure whether the listed dimensions of tray are usable or unfolded size. Please clarify. Thanks!

ZZ_UPennHey thanks for your question. It is full grain leather with a great oil content and nice pull up to it. Very strong leather - same as we use on some of our satchel and bag parts. The corners are riveted with antique brass rivets. The dimensions should be pretty close to its size as completed. It's a good size for a variety of uses. I have one on my desk for pens and nicknacks, one on my bedside for a pocket dump at the end of the day, and one on a coffee table to look nice (and smell great!).
