SkyPI always suggest using whatever weather protectant you would put on your boots i.e. Scotchgaurd - after testing a small portion and before carrying it in any inclement weather. After that, I use Griot's 3-In-1 to clean/condition it. I like how it smells and it does a nice job keeping the leather moisturized without changing the color or anything like that.
