I'll say this every time: Loake needs to let drops like this ship to Korea. Their authorized distributor--like most Korean importers--jacks up the price to get high margins with low throughput, and then they pretend their low sales volume is due to low demand. Loake needs to cut those jokers out of the process and let their worldwide distributors sell to Korea directly.

Exclusive distributorship agreements are a bitch. We get stiffed by them where I am too. Have you tried getting round this with a US-based freight forwarder?

Daisy_CutterAll the forwarding companies I've seen charge a minimum of $30, and would be at least $60 for a pair of boots. Low international shipping rates are the main reason I buy anything from MD.

Well, if you're only ordering stuff from the US 3-4 times a year, then there's no advantage. But if you regularly order stuff from the US, say 3-4 orders per month, then you would be saving on shipping costs with a freight forwarder. At least that is my experience. And don't forget that while MD often has cheaper than usual overseas shipping rates, it very often has free shipping inside the US.
