Ok, here is some my 2c. I own them for about 1y and use very rarely, the main reasons: * I can't hear any noise-isolation * Battery can hardly survive for 3-4 hour, and they can't be used while charged * BT antenna is VERY low sensitive. Literally I can't put my nexus 5x in my back pack or in jeans pocket, as sound became breaking * Crappy build of buttons, my power on/off button breaks after 2 month * Power on diode is way too bright for night listening * Awful and loud sound on successful pairing
They cheap, but miles away from any other BT headphones I have. What is worse, is that none of described problems was in the lot description, while most of them can be easily found in 10 min.
ive had these for a couple months now and must say I enjoy them. The freedom of bluetooth is amazing. The battery life may be slightly lower than some other brands and models but it is more than enough to last a day. They turn off or go in sleep when your not using them. There is a static on idle but after about an hour you won't even hear it. Good bass and great mids and highs. Would highly recommend.

Hello LOGiix,
I understand the concept of saying these earbuds wireless. It's a marketing buzzword that grabs attention and specifies the category the product is in. I just wish they market would adapt words like "Bluetooth" or perhaps "Semi-wireless" for example. I know you do not make the rules, but it's a damn shame.

Hi Pavorish,
Thank you so much for your comment. We appreciate any and all inputs from our consumers as it helps us further our brand. We have forwarded this information to the rest of our team, and we will definitely take this into consideration. :)
HOW MANY of you disgusting consumers are using this to watch pornography!
Soko
That was a bit unnecessary.
Soko
Only about 62% of the disgusting consumers, but a full *97%* of the non-disgusting ones are listening to pornography through these at this very moment.

what is your reason for using earbuds on flights? to me (light) headphones have always been more comfortable than earbuds when sitting still.
SoReckless
I don't like THESE (wireless) earbuds, but I quite like Etymotic earbuds - for their noise isolation. Started using them when on smaller (noisy) airplanes, fly in / fly out around Kalgoorlie, WA. Turn off the tunes and there's enough sound isolation to allow sleeping. Even the better over-ear noise cancelling headphones don't do so well if you turn your head in your sleep and they slide off.

Can anyone who has these talk about range and interference? In particular, if you pair with an iphone and then put the phone in a hip pocket, do you get music dropouts or noise every so often? What about if you switch the phone to the other hip pocket?
Everyone with a phone, take note: The specs for the buds say that they support AAC but not aptx. So, you're likely to get decent/good quality sound from an iphone (assuming these buds implemented AAC correctly) but NOT as much from android phones, which typically support aptx but not AAC, as far as I know. Can anyone with an iphone or android (or better, both) comment on sound quality?
Thanks.

Possibly true on a pair of headphone that were working properly. Mine were not. You may need someone with a good pair to run the test for you. The difference wasn't noticeable on mine.
Where does it say these headphones use the AAC codec? By the way there is also a codec called aptx which the V10 supports. I have amazing bluetooth quality from wireless in-ears that support this. Anyway, If you want to notice the difference in bluetooth quality based on a codec used, I assume you are going to need better in-ears than these.
UPDATE: I see in this discussion section they say is supports AAC.
First impressions:
Sound is a little flat, but otherwise quite good.
Nothing worth complaining about. Fairly banced, just no real depth. Sound is pretty good.
Buuut. Holy crap these things are loud. I have the volume as low a possible, and they're still very loud. Almost too loud to be comfortable. In fact the confirmation bleep (that thing most BT devices do) is so loud I have to take it out of my ears.
Putting the volume full blast while wearing them around your neck is like listening to an external speaker.
Worst bit is that the in line controls only control system volune, so no way to change that.
Honestly it's kind of insane how loud they are.
Maybe it's just me as I've seen no other complaints, but wow.
But yeah beyond that they're pretty good. A bit of hissing when not playing anything, but that's very feint. The build quality on the actual drivers looks and feels really nice, however the in line controls and battery look and feel cheap. The supplied USB cable is also really short, but that's not an issue.
I'd love to talk more about the sound, but really, I can't. I don't know if it's just my unit, but it really is that loud. I'll contact Logiix support, because it really seems like it shouldn't be that loud.
E: Oh and they do show battery level on ios which is nice.

are you turning the volume down on both devices? turning the volume down on the in-ears as well as turning it down on your phone(or other bluetooth music device)?
sirkuttin
Wolfent noted that the in-line controls just control the volume of the device you're listening from, they don't have their own volume-control.
Just got mine today. Still have to give them solid tests over multiple scenarios and devices but, against the Skullcandy Smokin' Buds 2 I've been wearing, the TuneFreq's do not offer a better listening experience.
It's not a bad listening experience, but I am not hearing the promised balance. In fact, it seems to me that lows, mids and highs simply stop working together through these earphones. I am not what I would consider to be an audiophile, but the mids seem to be the star. Highs are kind of shrill and the bass is the most disappointing experience since I was expecting that with bass being handled by a separate driver that it would be more punchy. Every other pair of wireless earphones I have ever owned sounded more fun, even though the quality of the bass on the TuneFreqs was pretty good. The bass I experience was never just a 'buzz' in my ear.
I've been listening to the same song (Deep River by Hikaru Utada) on both sets of wireless buds on different devices and the SB2's consistently sound better. I almost feel as if the right drivers are outperforming the left drivers so perhaps I got a bum unit.
I've had the SB2's for almost a year though, so maybe the TuneFreq's need break in. Regardless, they are not currently outperforming my previous set.

Hi Mass_sean! An email of an image of both receipt and headphone would start the replacement process. We have informed our customer service team, and they are looking to hear from you!
mass_sean
Just received my replacement unit. The imbalance I was experiencing before is gone. They definitely are more fun to listen to. Bass seems improved over the model I had before and I can now say I prefer the sound from these over my SB2's.
They aren't the most detailed earphones, but I don't think that was their emphasis. I like what I am hearing from them. Now, I just need time to see if they have the stamina my SB2's have. I view them as generally recommendable based solely on sound.

When is this shiat going to ship
So do they support aptx?
Wolfent
Hi Wolfent, please note these headphones support only MP3/AAC; they do not support APTX.
If someone could review this, it would be really nice. Possibly with comparisons of cheaper and more expensive BT headphones like the Mpow Swift and the Jaybirds X2.
Why are these not also on the "Audiophile" community page? I'd like to see what those guys have to say....
chadddc
Because they aren't $500
I'll buy a pair and review it .. I'll take one for the team.
Hi Guys! Get Connected presented the Blue Piston tuneFREQS Duo on Global TV's Tech Talk. YouTube link:

you can skip to 1:39 min mark :)
LOGiiX
This doesn't really tell us any more about the product than the product page here on Massdrop does, a real "review" would be much more useful. Personally I really like the 2 way idea, but I have no way of knowing how well you have executed on that idea...
PAPO
Hi Papo, Thank you for your interest! We currently have reviewers lined up for our headphones. Please stay tuned, as we will post it here as more reviews come out.
Are these backwards compatible with bluetooth 4.0 devices? I have an iPhone 5 but this only supports bluetooth 4.0 and it says this is 4.1.
mbrown839
It _should_ work just fine. Generally this mismatch means that features will be missing. I am not sure of any significant difference between 4.0 and 4.1 in this format.
mbrown839
Hi mbrown839, yes they are backwards compatible and will work with your iPhone 5 :)
Whoa! What mad scientist designed these? :)
Hey Logiix, just wanted to ask, does it come with carrying pouch? my work requires a lot of movement from one site to another, and I don't wanna lose them in the process. Thank you
twoksonez
Hi twoksonez, thank you for your question. Ufortunaltely, they do not come with a carry case.
