Can anyone who has these talk about range and interference? In particular, if you pair with an iphone and then put the phone in a hip pocket, do you get music dropouts or noise every so often? What about if you switch the phone to the other hip pocket?
Everyone with a phone, take note: The specs for the buds say that they support AAC but not aptx. So, you're likely to get decent/good quality sound from an iphone (assuming these buds implemented AAC correctly) but NOT as much from android phones, which typically support aptx but not AAC, as far as I know. Can anyone with an iphone or android (or better, both) comment on sound quality?
Thanks.

a.m.rI don't have an iPhone but I have an LG V10 and an iPad.
My unit has been exhibiting inconsistent sound quality, but I was able to do your test. Walking around the house with the TuneFreqs in and the V10 in my pocket I did experience fairly frequent music dropout. Out of my pocket and left on my desk in a room with the door closed I was able to walk over to the other side of the house without experiencing dropouts until I was at the far wall which is a distance over 33 feet away.
On the iPad, I experienced no music dropouts while walking around the house with it in the messenger bag I usually carry it in . Music dropouts occurred at the same distance as the phone when I left it in the bag behind the same closed door.
Performance was acceptable on the iPad but frustrating on my V10. I wish the sound quality wasn't so inconsistent on these. Hope that answered your questions.

mass_seanIt raises more questions than it answers... But thank you very much for testing!
Did you notice a difference in sound quality between the ipad and the V10 (which is what, an android phone by LG?)?
If it can have frequent dropouts while walking around with your phone in your pocket, then it seems to me that it's failing a basic use case.

a.m.rThe LG V10 is an Android phone and the two devices shared lackluster sound quality. I believe I have a defective unit though, and I am awaiting a reply from Logiix. I would say my mind registers quality being better on the iPad because it didn't suffer from dropouts, but again, I haven't been getting good sound from mine.
I certainly wouldn't be pairing these with my Android devices .

mass_seanFrom the specs, you would expect (much?) better sound quality from the ipad, because the ipad would use the AAC codec, and the LG would not.

a.m.rPossibly true on a pair of headphone that were working properly. Mine were not. You may need someone with a good pair to run the test for you. The difference wasn't noticeable on mine.

a.m.rWhere does it say these headphones use the AAC codec? By the way there is also a codec called aptx which the V10 supports. I have amazing bluetooth quality from wireless in-ears that support this. Anyway, If you want to notice the difference in bluetooth quality based on a codec used, I assume you are going to need better in-ears than these.
UPDATE: I see in this discussion section they say is supports AAC.
