These are $36 on Amazon, and have 4/5 stars. Amazon reports having only 1 left in stock, so it seems to be popular. This is a good deal. I'm getting at least 1 now for orienteering, and an upcoming canoe trip at Northern Tier.

I make my own maps on https://caltopo.com and print them on Rite in the Rain waterproof paper for backups. I typically export the trails and points via GPX file to Gaia GPS on my phone.

I don't, but I've considered subscribing. I was using it on my LG v20, my friend was using it on his iPhone 8 I think.

These don't have the greatest of reviews on amazon, also the lowres photos of the navigator doesn't help either.
