This seems like a pretty decent price. Can anyone attest to the quality of the brand?

CragmI would put Lowe Alpine at above average but if you want the finest quality then look at some Osprey packs

CragmLowe Alpine is one of the classic brands started by American climbers in the late '60s (Patagonia, North Face, etc). The company made good, but not great, stuff in more recent history. However it is now own by Equip UK, who also owns Rab, and this has led to great improvements over the last few years. I think the quality is quite good now, and their packs are a very good value. It's not BD or Arc Teryx, but those brands are 2-3x as pricey.
In general, Lowe Alpine's packs are known for comfort, like Gregory Packs, but better. I would choose this over Gregory Z40 or Z55, Kelty PK50, or Mountainsmith Scream 55 - similar packs in terms of size, weight and cost. Hope this helps @Cragm

mentonn@mentonn - I would say the quality of this year's models is comparable to Osprey now. Lowe Alpine has improved a lot recently. Now, that doesn't mean the designs are always as good, just the build quality and durability.
