This system did NOT work for me. The camera's disconnect by themselves and eventually the unit does NOT work. Complete waste.

It did take forever to finally receive this drop, but I'm pretty happy now that it's in my hands. There's enough range to connect to the DVR box from outside the garage across my condo. Video quality is better than I expected for being 960p and wireless. Infrared reaches far and illuminates the alley behind my garage well enough. Still need to cannibalize a hard drive from one of my computers to put in the box, but it functions just fine without one for now. Instructions are in sparse Chinglish and the interface is pretty clunky and unpolished, but I've gotten video to work via LAN on my browser (just enter the IP address), and over WAN on my iPhone. Video is smooth and clear on both devices. Huge thumbs down for requiring Internet Explorer (yes, IE, not even Edge!) for the WAN browser interface though; it won't even let you log in with Chrome.
Compared to the Netgear Arlo 4 channel at $650, this is a very solid 4 channel surveillance system at $185.80 shipped. The interface does leave a lot to be desired, but it does exactly what I need without any bullshit. I'm happy that I can check on my house from work now.

I just watched this companies YouTube channel. There are some cool features such as, face detection and a warning alarm. So if you upload a face into the system, there will be a loud alarm (beeping sound) if that face is recognized by the system. I just joined the drop because our car was stolen out of the driveway and if we had a camera system, than we would know who or when it happened. This is not one of those high end systems with FLIR infrared night vision. But.... This system is perfect for the house.

15 fps recording, single 4tb Max hdd (no redundcy), not wireless ac (only bgn), last bottom right corner of viewer is uselessly black (could display time, recording duration, etc), and it's a Chinese based company so customer service will be sketchy at best. You do get what you paid for...

It says it supports a SATA hard drive up to 4TB so it looks like it stores locally. This is a really good price, I wonder how good the quality is? Very tempting for sure...
I bet you can view each camera individually if you go to it's ip address (assuming they use 802.11 wifi vs a proprietary protocol) . If it's a proprietary protocol then the only way to view them would be to use one of the phone apps or view it directly from the NVR. It looks like you can plug an HDMI screen straight into it, and I bet it has a web interface so you can run it headless and access it from another PC with a web browser.

Can I connect directly to these to view, or do I have to go through the manufacturers website?
Also - does this manufacturer require you to use THEIR paid cloud storage or can I plug my own stuff in?
