Serious question: What is the concept behind an inflatable light? The solar power and LED light are a good pairing. I just don't understand why you would add on the inflatable part. To my way of thinking it adds a part that can fail. Anyone know why this set up would be desirable? Thanks
JimbroI can be wrong, this is just what I imagine someone would use this for... It diffuses the light so that it is not just a focused beam but instead lights up every direction. If this was in the center of the room it would light up the whole room or just give it a sort of ambience (depending on brightness) whereas if it were a traditional LED it would just light up one direction.
Also most importantly the solar power does not inflate it, you have to blow on it yourself so it does not add any more parts that could fail since it is not mechanical.
JimbroWhen not inflated it folds down extremely flat so does not take up much room in a pack. When inflated it then can be hung or set up on a table/the ground, wherever.
I've had my Luci lights for a couple years now and never head out without them.
