I have one of these.
Pros: Puts out a LOT more light than the original 3-LED version. Will last an entire weekend if used on medium level, which is plenty of light over a camp stove or in a tent.
Cons: Much bigger /heavier than original, uses a double-ended USB cable to charge (essentially proprietary) which means if you lose the cable you’re SOL. Hard to inflate because of the “pinch valve” and leaks air out the top where the USB port is so it constantly deflates if you don’t hang it from something.
The phone charging feature is a gimmick, IMO. (You’ll never be able to utilize the solar cell to adequately maintain the charge in a smartphone due to problems with physics).
From completely depleted, this takes two full days of sitting in the summer sun to recharge, maybe 3 days this time of year. Personally I prefer my Luminaid.
I have a couple of the first-gen Luci lights, and I’ve been very happy with them. I’m interested in this model, but sorry to see that you’re only offering it in the clear plastic option. The LEDs are actually quite bright, and can be harsh on the eyes; the frosted version casts a much more pleasant light. If you can offer the frosted finish next time, count me in.
Hey
Please may i know the kelvin rating of the led's you use in this model ?
i personnaly think this is one of the most important specification to know for any lights sources....
It is more on the warmy side at 4000K and less?
Neutral at 5000K ?
or on the cooler side at 6000K and more ?
Merci !
