Luke is a scam artist. He has take many, many orders on his website and does not fill the orders. This is the exact same hat he sells on his site for $25. The idea this is a high tech fabric is not true. Luke is just not very bright and did not think people would see the same hat at a fraction of the cost on his site.

Digging this hat. Wears a bit differently than a knit cap. It is warm for sure.

What kind of temperature rating is this beanie suitable for? Is it comparable to a down bean in terms of warmth?

hyphstar Our Technopile Hat has a hyper-technical middle membrane for warmth, is great in wet conditions, and is easier to clean than down insulation. Down's price point is higher and down has a higher warmth-to-weight ratio. We do not offer a temperature range for this hat because there are too many variables ( wind, humidity, body type, and activity level) that can affect a warmth rating.

SewsIt depends on the shade. When it comes to those three colors, I'm a fan of subdued shades such as dark or navy blue, dark or loden green, and dark brown. I might also go for a brilliant neon safety yellow-green.
Black or dark charcoal would be tops for me. Red too, for that Cousteau look. Then the above three colors in the order listed.

DO NOT buy from Lukes. Still waiting for a refund and response to emails from my order from 11 MONTHS ago. Many others burned by them in the past year.

I am sorry for the lack of clarity. As we continue to work through the restructuring of the business Luke will be doing orders on request and I will be handling MD orders.
