Family member in the military has had this watch for the past 4ish years and its held up decently. The flat mineral crystal is scratched beyond belief and the silicone straps basically disintegrated over 2 years of nonstop use. Not worth 250 IMHO but I can't knock it for being durable.

Nick5353I have the 3059 Scott Cassell edition. Less than a month and 2 scratches on the crystal (and that's not wearing it everyday!!). Pretty pissed about that. The glass should be recessed like casio G-Shock watches (my g-shock is 2yrs old and remains scratch free, and I've worn it a lot more than the lumi). Overall pricey for what it is and my g-shock was about 5x cheaper...

cdf67I agree with you! If this had a more scratch resistant glass at this price point I would then possibly consider it but the way it is now I feel I couldn't keep it clear if I tried!

Nick5353needs to be sapphire ... my new "rule" is recessed mineral and if this is not the case, then sapphire if it is flush or domed... Cheers !

cdf67one alternative is to buy a luminox with sapphire crystal. scratch proofed. e.g. rekon 8820, 8830 series.
