I would stay far away from Lumintop. I purchased their Tool-Ti model (which isn't a particularly inexpensive torch) and it's been nothing but trouble. You have to bang on it to get it to work like a cheap dollar store flashlight.

M.a.vSorry you own one Lumintop and have problems with it, is that a reason for a Spam like this? A lot of people over here (including me) own more than one Lumintop without problems. Lumintop builds flashlights for a lot of other brands and I had never a Lumintop that fails. And no, Lumintop does not pay me any money!

TeletinI'm sorry that I shared my experience and didn't buy dozens of junk flashlights that don't work reliably.
...and no, SureFire does not pay me any money.
EDIT: Spam is defined as inappropriate messages sent indiscriminately to a large group of people, typically advertisement in nature (or, alternatively, a brand of canned ham). This doesn't qualify.

M.a.vI totally understand. I myself have three lumintops and they are great, however my wife bought an new Omega watch (quartz) and it just stops, have to bring back to change a new movement, so, no brand is perfect.

coffzild That's it. I know this from other forums, since someone has an article of company XXX which does not work as it should and then the manufacturer is badly done. I have 10 AAA flashlights for over a year from Lumintop and use them without problems. I have already used the support of Lumintop, my copper tool has fallen down on me and has a great scratch. The support has sent me a replacement part against the shipping charges without any problems.

M.a.vOne bad experience with a device does not condemn the whole productline and company. That’s a bit over-reacting. That flies in the face of the thousands that have purchased MD/LuminTop lights over the years that have never had issues which includes me.
It’s fine to share a disappointing experience with a single product. I’ve done it myself. But declarations like “Never buy from this company” are reactionary and inflammatory. As others have reported, MD & LuminTop have been quite responsive to product failures. Have you even attempted to seek a repair/replacement? 🤔

M.a.vSounds like you got a lemon. Have you tried RMA or warranty replacement? Sure, they're not Surefire weapon lights, but for a tiny AAA-size pocket light, the Lumintops (including CountyComm's builds of them) have been pretty solid, in my experience. I've got one of the CountyComm twisty-lights, and a pair of the Massdrop model Tools (one copper, one Ti).
Haven't used the standard-model Tool, just the one with the Massdrop clicky-switch, but your Tool-Ti should have the same clicky switch with the internal battery. Could just be a defective switch, or a mangled internal spring causing a flaky connection.
