Product Description
Weighing just over 1.5 ounces and measuring only 3.2 inches long, the pocket-size Lumintop Copper Tool runs on a single AAA battery. Made from copper, it features diamond-patterned knurling for added grip, and it offers three separate brightness modes for different scenarios—low mode provides up to 5 lumens, while high mode offers up to 110 lumens depending on the LED Read More
It‘s nice looking. I assume it will oxidize nicely. There was a color defect in the metal of one i have. The modes seem to be on high then off then on Medium and then off again and finally on low. Repeat
I took this brand new and beautiful light and clipped it to an inside pocket of one of my motorcycle jackets, Just incase? I Do not take this lightly. If I need a lighly. Something has gone wrong or is truly needed. A light only fails me once. Maratac failed me. I do not buy them. I have more faith in the Lumintop. S

The black version of this is 18.99 on Amazon and less noticeable on pocket. A better choice for an AAA light though is the Maratac AAA Rev 5. Outstanding light!
I bought the MD Cu version and its my fave EDC light. Prefer it over this one. I like the clicky switch lower profile and yes it does double as a night stand lamp ... But most of all love it looks made out of Cu and lumens from it render visibilty more naturally and is bright enough for my uses. I've not had any issues with battery life so far 👍
Any thoughts/possibility of getting a Lumintop/Massdrop Tool drop made with the older Worm driver? It was more efficient on high and could eke out closer to an hour of runtime for the same amount of lumens, I dunno why they went away from that driver...
As it is, the main reasons to buy a Copper Tool or a Massdrop Brass/Titanium tool right now are either a strong preference for Nichia and/or a strong preference for a clicky switch on an AAA... Because other lights (Olight i3S, etc) kinda destroy these as far as efficiency/runtime goes.
FWIW, I bought two Brass Tools w/Nichia LEDs because the color rendition really is nicer for photography and/or inspecting stuff, and they look cool... Looks/novelty also makes them a nice gift and the clicky switch and mode order makes it a good nightstand light.
I even bought a Copper Tool elsewhere for my camera bag... None of them are my EDC/keychain choice tho, not when I can get the same lumens and a full hour on high or 6+ hours on medium out of other more efficient lights.
NatthawutHmm, I just bought one with Nichia for about as much ($26 something) using a code at GearBest, from what I understand their shipping is pretty slow too (goes from Asia thru Swiss Post, huh?). For the small difference I might've gone Massdrop just because I have more orders to track here.
Someone really needs to get Lumintop to make the Copper one with the e-switch! I bought two Brass ones here too with the intention of mixing and matching FWIW.
BwaitSame thing happened to my copper Tool 4 months ago. I contacted Lumintop and they sent a new cap out to me free of charge. Took a little bit to get to me but it was a fresh working cap. I had to manually patina the sucker because the new shiny copper and older body looked weird.
By far my favorite edc flashlight.Recommended , i like the switch especially and cree led doesnt have a greenish tint, prefer it over the warmish nichia.
yup, both banggood and gearbest have faster shipping than massdrop, and totally free.... I think I will only buy massdrop made flashlight on massdrop, and buy all others at other website.
RebuswindThere are still great deals on here. Just not all of them.
If you don't do your homework, or are prone to impulse buys you won't get the best deals. That is pretty much the same with anything though. Either be an informed consumer, or another rube. It's up to the individual to decide which.
