BogartI've been buying on aliexpress for several years already. It's a chinese counterpart for eBay, and they have same protection functionality eBay has (even if you're paying directly using credit card). They even have PayPal conuterpart(AliPay), though I don't use it.
Shit can happen on both eBay and aliexpress. I had several issues on both platforms and always had my refund (though it takes somewhat longer on aliexpress). Same rules apply to both aliexpress and eBay: careful listing reading and investigating seller's rating and feedbacks. Having this little knowledge, one can shop on aliexpress as safely as on eBay(I use both interchangeably). Hope that clarifies things.
