Boy these are a really volatile product right now in general.
Prices for external battery packs have dropped like a rock in the past year.
For this price both ports should be 2.1 A at a minimum. The 1 A is way too under-powered to charge any current cell phone.
While there are a few good options on Amazon, the best value I've seen lately has been a sale at MonoPrice. I got this one for $24 plus shipping last month. http://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=11927
Again, you have to check the specs and be sure the output is sufficient.
I've bought five different power banks in the last year. Three different brands. Not a great deal here and the ports are not ideal. It looks like the input isn't the micro USB most Android devices take either. I might be wrong on that though.
The nicest looking ones I think are sold by OnePlus. They are 10,000 mAh for $15 each BUT the shipping is outrageous!
