For those who want a reliable power bank, beware of anything with a power button.
My Uniden bank needs the power button to be pressed before use. It also has "auto shut off"... meaning a momentary disconnect (e.g. due to things jostling in my bag) and my phone stops charging for the day.
Also, both my phone and tablet, when off, boot into a charging-only mode (to display the charging status, etc.) when plugged in. However, they momentarily stop drawing power during this boot process.
My power bank interprets this as a disconnect and turns off. Both devices see that nothing is charging them anymore, so they power off.
Pressing the power button again starts the process all over again. This effectively means I can't use my power bank to charge either of my devices if they get depleted.
The Xiaomi button is a battery charge indicator display button only; it is pressed when the user desires to know the charge remaining in the bank.
