mertvykhYep they sound pretty awful. Only useful for running and barely even that if you care about audio quality at all. Not even sure they're going to be useful for calls at all because the audio quality is so muddy.

This is listed under the "audiophile" category, but please be aware that in no way is this an audiophile product. Here's what's good about these earbuds : - They look alright. I think they look better than Jaybirds or Brainwavz. A lot of visual design cues could be taken into account when, hopefully, the bigger manufacturers step into the bluetooth IEM game. The cable that runs in the back of your neck is rather comfy. - They're pretty light, but pack 5 hours of battery (what most people need to get through a day) - They're cheap (I actually got them for $22 shipped on aliexpress)
but that's about it. Now the sound... well, it's not good. It's barely OK even for $20. I'm confident apple earbuds sound better than these. The sound is muddy, the bass is too forward and has no detail at all. This is barely good enough for listening to podcasts, because the mids are so foggy it's borderline annoying. I listen to a lot of different genres and the only one I think fairs well with these is vaporwave, because it's so lo-fi you won't tell the difference anyways. Whoever you are, you probably won't be happy with the sound, even if you don't consider yourself an audiophile. I considered giving these to my mother if I didn't like them, but at this point, I think it would be insulting to make her listen to them. If you're like me, you're attracted by the looks and the price, and you're ready to sacrifice the sound. Well, I don't think it's worth it. Keep your $25, and keep saving up for a much better pair or earbuds.
If you JUST want to listen to music occasionally, and you give absolutely no damn about the sound, or if you want to use these while running (feasible, given their lightness and fit), I think this is a decent choice. At least if you lose them or break them they're only $20. (oh and check other sites when you see chinese crap on massdrop, there's a better price elsewhere most of the time).
