EIDudeI was told to hold the - and the + volume keys down during the pairing prompt for 5 seconds. I didn't have any luck but I have found out that they sell 3 different versions of these with some being only english or only chinese. I've finally figured out what is what on the pair I have that is chinese. Partially because I bought a second pair that was in english when I got them. I'm really surprised at all the bad reviews here. Even had I paid $30 (I got both pairs for less than $20 each) they sound as good as $20 wired Brainwavz I have from drops here. I have to wonder what people expect from a sub $30 pair of bluetooth IEM. FYI if this drop happens again Macaw has no website anymore. The site on the packaging is dead(www.macaw-audio.com). So unless Massdrop is backing the warranty you may be on your own if something goes wrong. If that is a big deal to you then buyer beware.
Audio quality is terrible. Playback spurts and sputters constantly. And, most annoyingly, while I'm connected and listening to audio playback, the earphones keep interrupting with the message "Device disconnected", and that interruption makes the playback sputter worse than anything else. Terrible.
So I ordered these from miniinthebox @ $29aud w/free shipping. They are decent for $30 earbuds, except with my unit the stereo is flipped and there is no other fix but to wear them upside down and put the left bud in the right ear and the right bud in the left.
Any other users have this issue?
mertvykhYep they sound pretty awful. Only useful for running and barely even that if you care about audio quality at all. Not even sure they're going to be useful for calls at all because the audio quality is so muddy.
Definitely going to try this. I would say the same. In principle, they're fine, except they simply don't stay in. This rotation trick sounds like it might save the day.
