What keycap set is this from?
zsherf
Looks like Magicforce's own keycaps
Does anyone know what profile keycaps this comes with?

gateron (no xtra charge) and MX cherry!

Such a gutter this drop. I was all excited seeing the name so I could pair it with my BT and USB-C Magiforce... This doesn't even really look like it. But it's about as close as I'm going to get eh?

USB-C / BT Magicforce? Huh?
jhurl3y
Yup right here: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/magicforce-68-v2-bluetooth-4-0-mehcanical-keyboard The old Magicforce numpad had a closer look to the 68 V2. I actually entered then left the drop because I don't want to get stuck with a lame numpad that's similar but different enough to be annoying.
much cheaper on amazon if you want cherry blue or brown
Pretty strange of them to decide to call this V2 of the Magicforce Numpad considering it looks completely different from it. They should of called this the Magicforce Crystal 21 since it uses the same design as the Magicforce Crystal 108 instead of calling it a successor to the one that has an aluminum top.
Does this numpad support alt-functionality?
Obanon
I would be interested in this, as well.
  1. How many keys rollover?
  2. Can you disable the backlight?
Thonk
1.) Not sure, but the NKRO tests don't show a limit when I mash them all down where my FC660C shows 6 as is expected. 2.) Yeah, you can disable the backlight and it will remember the prior setting.
I have a feeling that these photos may be of an old model. I remember this from last year
Wait, is that a mini USB connection? What year is this?
Retractable feet are mentioned a few times. I don't see any in the photos - am I missing something?
lmorchard
Yeah the pictures and description don't match up at all.. I'm fairly new to massdrop.. does this site often give miss-information?
m28m
Yes. I would bet they copy pasted most of the information from the older model which does have flip down feet and didn't catch that this one doesn't.
Just got a similar version off Amazon last week and really like it. The one from there came with ABS caps but they were nice. I changed them out for PBT though, added o-rings, and put some batting underneath the PCB to help dampen the plasticy echo sound it makes due to the case design. Now it feels and sounds pretty great. A couple things that made me chose this one over other affordable numpads was choice of switches, detachable USB, and that it remembers the previous LED brightness setting. Also, to help get back in practice with Fusion360 I made and printed a couple different case designs. I ended up sticking with the original because it looked so good with the blue keycaps, but was considering a low profile one with a magnet or something to attach to the side of my desk.

What did you use to dampen the noise? Wanting to dampen my fc660c
Anakin9310
Oddly enough, I bought this along with an FC660C last week! Loving it so far. Such a nice keyboard. Silencing a topre board is quite a bit different than a cherry style one. You'd have to use something like HyperSphere or Silence-X rings which involve taking the keyboard completely apart. The r/mk wiki has some good info: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/wiki/modifications_topre Edit: But if anyone is wondering how I dampened the noise on this numpad I just put a couple pieces of a swiffer dusting cloth underneath the PCB and o-rings on the keycaps.

So not programmable?
c_r_z
Yeah, looking for a QMK programmable 21 key on MD. I know YMDK makes one and is available on aliexpress... but I've never had luck ordering anything on there.
Not seeing the option to choose LED color
Nasp
Specs say only white LEDs.
justMANGO
But the description also says you can get blue. Probably an oversight, but that should be removed if LED color isn't an option.
