I have one of these with all black with black switches. I really like it. I would be tempted to buy another one with typewriter keys and brown or blue switches if I wasn't saving up for something more expensive. If you're looking for an entry level keyboard or just an inexpensive compact keyboard that is easy to customize look no further. It uses standard key sizes which is really nice and makes it easy to replace the keycaps with something else. The gamer-esque font is a bit annoying. I personally rank this one above the 40 dollar inexpensive options out there like the kumara redragon (which only has outemu blues available) and the drevo gramr (which has sub par keycaps and a non-standard key layout) though this is a significantly more expensive than those. The more expensive drevos with aluminum backplates are a bit more comparable. The one thing I would remember is that the main reason why you would want to buy this keyboard from massdrop should be because of the customization options and because you want something of this form factor. You can get a full gaming keyboard from corsair and other for not much more, so if that's what you really want you should just get that.
Personally, I have had outemu keyboards and a gateron keyboard that have lasted a while but decided to go with cherry for this one. That will push the cost up though if you choose to go that route.
